Sometimes auto-play may be disabled on Windows computers. Follow the instructions below to create a desktop shortcut to SurfEasy to avoid using auto-play.
STEP 1: When the SurfEasy Private Browser is plugged into the USB port, please ensure the key is light side up and that the light is on
STEP 2: Go to Desktop mode and open File Explorer (the icon in the bottom left near the start button)
STEP 3: Once File Explorer is open, go to Computer and right-click the CD Drive SurfEasy logo and select Open
STEP 4: You will find two files SurfEasy.app and SurfEasy with a blue shield icon. Right-click the SurfEasy with the blue shield icon and select "create shortcut".
STEP 5: It will give you a message saying a shortcut cannot be created here, would you like the shortcut to appear on the desktop. Select Yes
Now, to launch SurfEasy, simply plug the key into the USB port and double-click the new desktop shortcut.
Note, SurfEasy is not compatible with Windows 8 RT.
