You are receiving this message when you are enabling the VPN because a torrent client is enabled on your computer. Torrent traffic is only protected through our Torrent Optimized server which is only available through our Ultra VPN plan.
The Total VPN that has been provided to you provides the same features as the key which means the same 16 server locations are available. The key, like the Total VPN, did not protect any torrenting activity as the key also did not provide access to the Torrent Optimized server.
To continue using the Total VPN on your system you will just need to locate and shut down any torrent client or activity that may be active on your system. You can do this by going into the Task Manager on your computer and locating the torrent client running on your system from the list of background processes. Once you have located this torrent client please left click on the torrent client that is listed and then left click on End Task.
Once you have ended the process for the torrent client please quit SurfEasy and start up SurfEasy again by clicking on the SurfEasy desktop icon. You should now be able to achieve the secured connection without any further issues.
If you would like to protect your torrent activity through SurfEasy, you will need to upgrade from the Total VPN plan to the Ultra VPN plan. If you are interested in upgrading please contact our Support Team at support@surfeasy.com or you can give us a call at the number below:
