The status of your SurfEasy connection on your desktop computer will be displayed by the shield that is shown in your system tray.
On your Windows computer this shield will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen. On your Mac computer the same shield will appear in the top right corner of your screen.
When the shield is red with an X this will indicate that the VPN is not connected and that your personal IP is exposed.
When you attempt to connect the shield will temporarily turn grey which indicates that SurfEasy is finding its secured connection. This process should not take longer than a minute or so
When the shield is displayed green with a checkmark this indicates that you are protected as you are now connected to SurfEasy’s public IP address and that encryption and ad tracker blocking is enabled
