If you are a Private Browser (USB) user and are receiving the error message "Unable to connect to the SurfEasy Private Network. Please contact email@example.com for assistance. SurfEasy will now close." Please complete the following instructions:
Enter your password, wait for the error message to appear, the leave the message open. Once that has been completed, please follow the steps provided below:
1. Go to Computer/This PC and open the drive SEData.
2. Open the folder .se
3. Delete the file called "pm1.se" or "pm1"
Once completed, please close the error message, remove the key, then reinsert it. Please try to log-in again
Please insert the key, enter your password, and leave the error message open, then open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and enter (or copy and paste) the following:
Once you see that folder, delete the file called pm1.se or pm1. Finally, remove the key and reinsert. It may take a minute or so longer than normal, but the browser should connect properly again.
